Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone is enjoying this holiday season so far! This is one of my favorite times of the year but I am finding it hard to come to terms with the fact that Christmas is NEXT WEEK. Where has this year gone?! And where is the colder weather? The weather here in Texas has actually been quite wonderful lately with a mixture of warm days and cool days. And while my children and I are happy to have more days spent playing outside without freezing our butts off, it just doesn't quite feel like Christmas time. But nevertheless, this wonderful holiday is 7 days away and I am so excited to celebrate it with my family.

We have a bit of a tradition, if you will. We spend Christmas morning at home opening gifts with our kids, eating cinnamon rolls for breakfast, and drinking hot chocolate (me more than anyone else). Later in the day we go to my in-law's house to eat great food and let the kids swap gifts with their cousins (each one draws a name at Thanksgiving). Then it's home for the evening and getting ready to hit the road first thing in the morning. My family is located in Arkansas so we make the drive up to spend a few days celebrating up there as well. Overall, it's a bit crazy and can be a little stressful at times but we have oh so much fun! So to everyone staying home, traveling, spending the holiday with family or with friends, be safe out there. I hope you all have a great Christmas!
