Mermaids and Pirates Birthday Party
Posted by Heather Hammel on
Arrrggghh! It's a mermaids and pirates birthday party! I love a good party theme that works well for my twins and this is one of those themes. Whether you have boy/girl twins or are combining two parties into one, this is such a fun birthday party idea! Check out the images and links below to see how I decorated for my twins' mermaids and pirates seventh birthday party.
I held their party at our local church indoor play area this year so I stuck to decorating the food table along with a tattoo parlor table and party favor table. Everything was a hit with the guests and it was simple to put together and clean up (because come on moms, don't we love an easy clean up?!).

Food Table
For the food table, I decided to split the theme down the middle with mermaid on the left and pirate on the right. I kept decorations to a minimum since we were transporting everything to a location instead of holding the party at our home. Most of the decorations where found on Amazon (links below) and some things I already had at home.

Tattoo Parlor & Party Favor Tables
Set up a fun tattoo parlor table for your little pirates and mermaids! Be sure to set out wet paper towels or cut up small sponges and have someone to help out. For an easy party favor, fill a treasure box with pirate booty and mermaid fluff.
To make mermaid fluff, separate cotton candy into small cellophane bags with mermaid colored sprinkles and sixlets. Print Mermaid fluff stickers and attached to the front of cellophane bags.
